WHY we EXIST
how we started
this industry still runs on the who and what you already know.
I finished a set in Volks and was chatting to this guy at the bar.
He came to Brighton for BIMM, and I asked if he knew this promoter or this events group.
He didn’t know anyone.
I thought it was strange that he came to a music/arts university yet didn’t know anything about the music scene here.
Something was wrong.
Connectivity was weak.
Accessibility needs upgraded.
People are missing out.
Something had to change.
I finished a set at Volks and got chatting to a guy at the bar.
He’d moved to Brighton for BIMM. I asked if he knew any of the promoters or event groups.
He didn’t know anyone.
A music student, in one of the UK’s best music cities, cut off from the scene around him. Not because it wasn’t there, but because nobody had introduced him.
So I started putting people in touch.
Then I realised it wasn’t just Brighton facing this problem.

Nationwide, it’s worse. A DJ in Leeds can’t reach promoters in Glasgow. A label can’t find the venues playing its sound in Bristol. A producer finishes a track, and without a three-second hook it sinks under the news and brainrot flooding social media.
